The Development Enhancement Life and Training Alliance Incorporated (DELTA Inc.), the 501 (c)(3) entity of Birmingham Alumnae Chapter, was established on May 14, 1993. The philanthropic corporation is a non-profit entity that operates exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, and is empowered to enhance and expand the support of programs and activities of the Birmingham Alumnae Chapter. The specific objectives and purposes of DELTA Inc. are: 1) to provide opportunities for young people to improve the quality of their lives through counseling, tutorial and support programs that develop a desire for a lifelong pursuit of worthy personal goals and, 2) to develop outreach programming to enrich the lives of senior citizens by providing diversified activities and information pertinent to their well-being and endeavor to utilize the skills of the senior citizens to enhance the lives of others.
