Shirley Witt Taylor – 2013-2015

*Partnered with two non-profit organizations, Better Basics, Inc., a literacy organization, and Positive Maturity, Inc., an organization that focuses on individuals ages 55 and over, in an effort to perform ongoing volunteer service projects area of education and physical and mental health

*Partnered with DELTA secure additional scholarships for high school students and students matriculating at Miles College totaling over $48,700. In addition, a newly endowed $1,000 scholarship (funded by BAC members in the nursing profession) was given to a nursing student enrolled at Lawson State Community College

*Social Action Committee volunteered to register over 1, 000 area high school students to vote. Additionally, voter education drives were hosted during political forums
