PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Greetings,

Welcome to the virtual home of the Birmingham Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. As we embark on this new biennium, I am humbled to serve as President of a chapter with such a rich legacy of sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action.

Since our chartering in 1931, the Birmingham Alumnae Chapter has been a steadfast pillar in the community—grounded in the mission and vision of our beloved Sorority. Through the unwavering commitment of our dynamic members, we continue to uplift the Birmingham community by advancing programs rooted in Delta’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust.

Our chapter’s impact is made possible because of the collective work of passionate, purpose-driven sorors who give their time, talent, and resources to ensure our legacy remains strong. We are educators, advocates, mentors, professionals, and leaders—united in our love for Delta and our shared vision for positively impacting the communities we serve.

We are committed to continue to:

  • Strengthen Our Sisterhood – cultivating meaningful connections and support systems among chapter members across generations.

  • Serve with Purpose – designing community-based initiatives that respond to the real needs of our city.

  • Lead with Excellence – upholding the highest standards in all we do, from our public programs to our private bonds.

I invite you to explore our website and learn more about our work. If you are a soror looking for a chapter home, a community leader seeking collaboration, or simply interested in learning more about who we are, know that there is a place for you in this space.

We are Birmingham Alumnae—anchored in legacy, committed to service, and united in purpose.

In Sisterhood and Service,

Natasha Burnett
